Police appeal for information on hit and run

Lentegeur police are requesting assistance in solving a motor accident that occurred last week.

On Sunday 15 May at 12:20 a nine-year-old child was hit by a Silver BMW car with the registration number starting with CA 262.

Sergeant Cathy Meyer, police spokesperson, says the incident occurred on the corner of Highlands Drive and Swartklip Road.

“According to the information given on the scene, the victim sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital. A case of reckless and negligent driving was opened for investigation.”
