Woodstock police are asking for information following the armed robbery of a woman in Observatory.

On Wednesday 2 December at about 22:15, Woodstock police officers were alerted to an armed robbery in Herschel Street, where a woman had been robbed of valuables at gun point.

The woman and a friend were allegedly attacked by two men, who pointed at them with a gun and threatened her, demanding her belongings. The suspects fled with an iPhone and wallet.

No shots were fired and the woman was not physically hurt during the robbery.

The suspects are still at large and a case of armed robbery is being investigated.

Details of the one suspect are available, says Woodstock police spokesperson Hilton Malila.

He is between 25 and 35 years old, about 1.85m tall, has a slender build and acne scars and is dark in complexion. V Anyone with information regarding the suspects or who witnessed the robbery should contact the investigation officer, Constable Donovan Petersen, at the Woodstock police station on 021 486 2869.
