Princess Vlei Heritage Day celebrations

2016-09-20 06:00

The Princess Vlei Forum celebrate Heritage Day in feathery style this year, with their annual Flight of Dreams parade.

This annual event is held to create awareness about the beautiful wetland birds and other nature at Princess Vlei and the surrounding wetland areas. It is also an opportunity for local youth to display their talents in creative storytelling, music and visual arts.

The fun Flight of Dream’s extravaganza will kick off with a parade featuring giant bird puppets and headdresses created by local school children.

All are invited to take along a picnic or braai and to celebrate Heritage Day by enjoying this spectacle and supporting the youth. Coffee and tea will be on sale. V If you want to join the parade email or contact Bridget Pitt on 082 462 1308.
