Die hoof van die Imperial Primêre Skool in Beacon Valley is in sy noppies met die rekenaar wat sy skool van TraceOnline ontvang het.

Colin Baron, skoolhoof, sê Imperial het 1900 leerlinge en hulle is baie betrokke by sosiale nood en gemeenskapswerk.

Sowat 500 kinders ontvang daagliks ontbyt by die skool, en daar is ongereelde broodskenkings waarmee sekere kinders soms van middagete voorsien word.

“Maar die nood is groot en ons het baie meer nodig,” sê Baron.

Hy sê baie ouers in die omgewing is konstruksiewerkers wat daglone ontvang. Wanneer dit reën en die weer is sleg, het hulle geen inkomste nie en dan ly die kinders en die res van die gesin broodgebrek.

Dit is juis hierdie gesinne wat TraceOnline kan ondersteun met voldoende behuisingsinligting sodat hulle nie hul huise hoef te verloor as dit swaar gaan nie.

TraceOnline verskaf, onder kontrak van die Stad Kaapstad, inligting aan huurders van stadshuise oor wat hulle te doen staan om hulle huise te behou as hulle agterstallig raak. Die organisasie help ook met aansoeke vir deernistoelae en met invorderings.
