Cape Town Roses humiliated Southern Stars 7-1 in a one-sided Safa Sasol Cape Town regional women’s league second round encounter played at Loerie Park Stadium on Saturday.

The hosts suffered early fatigue while the visitors blossomed with their resulting momentum. Unathi Book, the prolific hat-trick scorer, boosted her team’s spirit when she scored after dribbling her way past the hosts’ feeble defenders.

Roses were a much better team than the confused hosts.

Sisanda Vukapi and Khanyisa Manengele cemented the victory for the visitors when the front strikers were running freely and frustrated the hosts.
