A non-profit organisation in Vrygrond has been hosting school holiday programmes for children for more than a decade and this school holiday is no different.

The Where Rainbows Meet training and development foundation hosted more than 90 children from Vrygrond and the surrounding suburbs for the programme.

They played different games and gave the children something to eat.

Foundation director Mymoena Scholtz says she is happy that they could keep the children safe during the holidays.

“What a privilege and joy it is to serve our various communities’ children. We are so blessed to serve these kids,” she says.

Scholtz says with the cases of children going missing it is very important to keep a constant eye on them and give them something to do so that they don’t wander off.

“Children are so precious and do not ask for much. Let us all work together by protecting our most vulnerable and innocent groups. We are glad that we could do our part and help them.”
