Four suspects have been arrested in the Mitchell’s Plain policing precinct on charges of sexual assault, possession of drugs and a firearm.

. Last Tuesday at 23:15, police received a report of shooting in Sunderland Street, Rocklands. On arrival a 26-year-old man was already on a stretcher.

While holding victims at gun point while attempting to rob them, the suspect was shot by one of his victims.

A .38 special revolver with live ammunition and a black holster were discovered at the scene. The suspect has been kept under supervision of a hospital guard.

. On Wednesday 9 March at 08:00 police received a report of rape. The victim was at home when the rapist came into the house and told her to undress herself. The suspect then raped her and also took a video of the act with his cellphone. A 26-year-old man has been arrested on the charge of rape.

. On Saturday 12 March at 16:30 police received a tip-off about drug dealing in Biliaart Street, Beacon Valley.

On arrival police searched the house and found a firearm, live ammunition and a magazine. They also found 10 units of heroin, 16 halves and two whole mandrax tablets, seven packets tik and 17 stoppe dagga. Two suspects were arrested.
