The inaugural People’s Post Soul Sisters Mother’s Day Celebration was held at GrandWest’s Grand Arena on Saturday where audiences were treated to a night of divas with Three Tons of Fun, Judith Sephuma, Vicky Sampson, Salome Johansen, Mady Abrahams, Can Skylark and Jody Williams backed by Camillo Lombard and a 12-piece band with Marguerita Freeks acting as the MC for the evening. Simon Shiffman was there to capture the magic.

Salome Johansen delivered, as one fan put it: “an awesome performance”. Another fan commented that she’d left them speechless.

Judith Sephuma rocked the stage.

Vicky Sampson sang her iconic hits.

Some of the audience members sang along to the well-known songs.

The ladies of Three Tons of Fun looked stunning in their matching dresses.

Marguerita Freeks held the show together as MC for the special concert.

Mady Abrahams proved why she was a runner up in the 2010 SA’s Got Talent competition.

Pop star Can Skylark is known for her energetic on stage presence.
