Spurs women run over Milano 10-0 in league derby

Spurs women thrashed Milano women 10-0 in a Safa Sasol Cape Town regional women’s league derby played in Grassy Park on ­Saturday.

Spurs were in full command of the crucial encounter and eager to settle the score.

Kaylan Jordan was the hero for the hosts when she netted a double hat trick which put Spurs in the driving seat. Celeste Jansen, Serenity Warner, Abigail Petersen and Mannecia Martin also managed to score for Spurs in the second half.

Vasco da Gama whipped Burnley United 6-1 in their encounter at Parow Park. From the start of the game, Vasco took charge of the ball. Early in the second half, Dipa continued her outstanding performance and scored from a through pass from a fellow goal scorer, Siviwe Tyiliti. Defence surprised with a goal in the 66th minute, when Lillian Jacobs netted for them. In the dying minutes of the game Khanya Xesi and Tyiliti steered Ikamva to a well-deserved victory.

Safa regional leagueFC Tafelzucht easily beat Ocean View 2-0 in a Safa Cape Town regional women’s league match played on the Westridge Oval on Sunday. Mishka Arendse, scoring twice for Tafelzucht, was once again in a class of her own.
