The latest theft from my house

2017-08-08 06:01

I’ve had numerous incidents of theft, housebreakings and a crowbar house robbery at my house in Kenilworth over the past few years. Most were reported, case numbers given and that’s where it stops – cases closed, as I found out only this morning from senior officers at Claremont Police Station.

A few weeks ago, my specially cast house numbers were stolen from my front house wall. At approximately 19:00 on Tuesday 18 July, the same individual also stole my front door mat (replacement cost R365). Camera footage shows how my mat was stolen.

I watched the video footage of Tuesday’s escapade and noticed how the person passed my house four times, then stepped onto my driveway and jumped over my front gate before stealing my mat.

If any readers have knowledge of or experienced theft by this person, please contact Claremont police. Captain van Vuuren has knowledge of this incident.
