Three men were shot and injured during a shooting in Lotus River on Monday 2 May.

Grassy Park police spokesperson Warrant Officer Wynita Kleinsmith says the shooting occurred on Monday evening at about 22:00.

Visible policing officers were informed of a shooting in progress at the Kalbaskraal informal settlement on the corners of 3rd Avenue and Lake Road. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a black 4x4 vehicle entered the area with four men walking next to it, who opened fire, Kleinsmith says.

She says the suspects entered the vehicle after shooting the three victims, aged between 22 and 35, and left.

No arrests have yet been made, Kleinsmith says. She confirms a docket of attempted murder was opened and the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
