Two ‘shooters’ arrested for murder

Police have arrested two men in connection with a murder case.

Police responded to a shooting in Kerrem Street, Beacon Valley on Sunday last week.

On arrival they found a 21-year-old woman who had been shot in the left-hand side of her upper body. She was lying on the ground, still conscious.

The officers were told that a second victim had also been shot and had been taken to the hospital by residents. The second victim later died in hospital.

Police collected seven cartridges and one projectile at the scene.

Police investigation led to the arrest of two men, aged 22 and 28. They face charges of murder and attempted murder. The motive is unknown.
