Two men were shot and wounded in Manenberg last Tuesday.

According to Manenberg police spokesperson Captain Ian Bennett, police followed up the incident at 09:50 which involved the two men, aged 24 and 30. “It is alleged that the two men were standing in Manenberg Avenue. A white taxi pulled up and two (unknown) men got out and fired several shots at the men standing on the corner, hitting them in the legs and arms. They jumped back in the taxi and drove away,” says Bennett.

The injured men were taken to Heideveld Emergency Centre for treatment. While no arrests have been made, a case of attempted murder has been opened for investigation.
