THE sixth Annual Africa Model event will be held at Umthunzi Hotel­ this weekend.

Friday night is the pre-party and finalists get rewarded with sashes and a fashion show by Kirsten Vogt from Formal Elegance and Via Bella models under African Skies fashion show. The finalists will then do a fashion show with the same theme.

Saturday is registration, judges interviews, rehearsals and then followed by the main show. Doors open at 5pm and the main show starts at 5.30pm. Kevin Ellis and Gareth Greeves will be dressing models for the opening sequence for Africa Model and they will also be judges.

The 40 finalists will then model and the winners chosen.

Prizes include Tablets, cellphones, a photo shoot, gift hampers, hair products and jewellery.

Special guests from Durban and Richards Bay and the winner of Africa­ Model 2014 will be attending as will the new junior South Africa Petite­ winner.

Greeves was the stylist manager on X-Factor South Africa and Ellis is currently the World Masters Dance Men’s Solo champion for 2015.

Tickets for Friday night are R100 and Saturday night R150, and include snacks. - Supplied.
