A 73-YEAR-OLD Uvongo resident thanked a shopping centre car guard, Johan de Beer, for being a good Samaritan after losing her purse.

Adrean D’aeth lost her purse while coming from a shop in Uvongo.

Adrean said she looked everywhere when she got home and realised she had left her purse in the shop while paying for her shopping.

She immediately went back to the shop, but found that nobody had seen it.

“I really did not know what had happened to my purse or where I had dropped it.”

Adrean said she remembered the car guard who assisted her to reverse from the parking bay.

The next day she went back the shopping centre and the same guard was on duty and she asked him if he had seen her purse.

Adrean said the car guard told her he had taken the purse home to return with it the next day, which he did, much to her happy surprise
