TWO people were killed while two others sustained minor injuries in a motorbike accident along Marine Drive Uvongo near Queen Elizabeth Road on Sunday afternoon.

It was found that two people were travelling on the motorbike when it was involved in a collision with a car.

Netcare 911 paramedics and other services found one biker had sustained life-threatening injuries and the other biker had died on impact. The vehicle occupants had sustained minor injuries and were traumatised.

Paramedics worked fervently for more than an hour to resuscitate the one biker at the scene however, despite all their efforts he was declared dead.

The two occupants from the car did not require treatment or transportation to hospital.
