THE Ugu Film Festival was held over the weekend as film directors, script writers and actors celebrated the industry.

The festival started on Thursday when actors gathered at Umthunzi Hotel for a meet-and-greet breakfast.

SollyWood Films organised screenings in various venues where local and foreign films were shown.

Xolile Tshabalala, former Generations actress, who has also acted in NCIS, conducted one of the workshops at Umthunzi Hotel with former Yizo Yizo star, Israel Makoe. The festival ended with an awards ceremony on Sunday
