Mud, motorcycles and extreme power

IF you’re an action junkie, and live dirt and bikes, then Powasol Xtreme Events is for you.

It entails enduro at its best and more of these events will be held on the lower South Coast in future.

After the successful Matat2Pont, held at the end of September, the owner of Powasol Xtreme Events, Klint Mills, met with Ugu South Coast Tourism to discuss the possibility of more events of this nature being held in the area.

“I can’t say much, but watch this space,” said Mills.

He started the enduro events as part of a marketing strategy to promote his business, Powasol, a chemical manufacturing business.

“This is the way I advertise my business and many sponsors have come on board.”

The focus of the events is to uplift South African riders’ skills and profession with the aim of them being internationally recognised.

“We have helped secure some sponsorships for local riders as well,” he said.

All events are professionally organised and when it comes to the logistics no stone is left unturned.

“We are fully prepared for the worst and have liability cover and there are different emergency services on stand-by,” he added.

Mills encourages businesses to become part of the upcoming events in the area.

“It’s a win-win situation for everyone. Businesses get the exposure they need, bikers enjoy what they do best and their families and friends have fun. The economic spin-off for the South Coast is amazing,” he said.
