THEY were all beautiful and they were all handsome and it’s safe to say that judges had a tough time choosing who would walk away with crowns and sashes.

The sixth annual Africa Model beauty pageant took place at Umthunzi Hotel in Umtentweni over the weekend.

The event started with a fashion show on Friday night, followed by the finals on Saturday where models showed off their best.

Organiser of the event, Stacey Upfold of Ultimate Events, said she was proud of the success of the event.

“The event has grown over the years and attracted many models,” she said.

“All 40 finalists were previous pageant winners so competition was tough,” she said.

The panel of judges included Kevin Ellis (current world masters dance men’s solo champion), Gareth Greeves ?(who was stylist manager on this year’s X-Factor South Africa, Thandeka Ndovela (model, zumba instructor and part-time law student), Reshica Naicker (Mrs India South Africa and Mrs India Worldwide) and Yolanda Visagie (Trinity Salon).

This year the show will be televised on 1KZN TV channel 261 on DStv ?in November.
