DURBAN singer-songwriter-guitarist Rowan Stuart will return to The Rock, Music Bistro, Umzumbe, on Sunday 31 May, for an afternoon concert.

Alternating between acoustic and electric guitars, and joined by friend Andy Turrell on bass guitar, Rowan creates a signature brand of alternative pop, incorporating elements of folk, rock and world music.

Rowan has released four albums of original music, including 2014’s all acoustic Hidden Doors. He has opened for Watershed, Dan Patlansky, Jeremy Loops, Matthew Mole and The Graeme Watkins Project, and shared the stage with Nibs van der Spuy and Gangs of Ballet.

Stuart recently became an endorsee for Cort SA Guitars, a brand he has used since the release of his first album. His sets include original music from his albums, some re-interpretations of classic songs, and plenty of improvised guitar solos.

Entrance to the concert is free, but the public is urged to make prior booking.

To book, contact on 072 141 5621.
