SOLIDARITEIT Helpende Hand se Port Shepstone-tak het die winter ’n bietjie meer draaglik vir inwoners by ? plaaslike skuiling gemaak. ? Skenking van beddegoed is deur ? hotel aan die tak gemaak om die swaarkry van haweloses in dié dorp te verlig.

Projek Warm Slaap het ? reusehupstoot gekry toe die Hill Billion Hotel bedlinne, gordyne en handdoeke aan die Port Shepstone-tak van Helpende Hand geskenk het. Wynand Smith, Port Shepstone se takvoorsitter, het die skenking aan behoeftiges by die Nehemia Opheffingsentrum oorhandig. Nehemia Opheffingsentrum bied skuiling, voedsel en klere aan behoeftiges in die dorp.

“Dit was baie lekker om te sien dat daar nog mense is wat sulke groot donasies aan die gemeenskap maak,” het Smith gesê. “Die skenking sal baie handig te pas kom by die skuiling waar baie inwoners onder ou komberse slaap. Hopelik sal hul lewensomstandighede nou ? bietjie beter wees.”

Die Port Shepstone-tak het verlede maand kniekombersies en serpe aan Anderley Haven geskenk om te verseker dat bejaardes in die tehuis lekker warm bly.
