Alleged young paedophile appears in court

2016-01-14 06:00

A 22-YEAR-OLD man, arrested for possession of child pornography last September, appeared in Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

The man, who cannot be named as he has not pleaded yet, faces a charge of distribution of film with sexual content.

He is currently out on bail.

Police seized a laptop containing thousands of child abuse images and videos from his Pennington home where he lives with his grandmother.

Among the evidence were costumes, dresses, panties and a child blow-up doll.

According to media reports the accused admitted to the possession and distribution of child abuse images.

The victims in the photos are under the age of five.

He told police that he had become an addict of child porn, and had a fetish for dressing up as a girl, which his grandmother confirmed.

The case was postponed to 3 February.
