SECURITY officers from Lazer 911 came across the body of a man in Oslo Beach on Sunday evening while patrolling in the area.

“A woman and motor-cross bikers flagged down the officers and said they had come across the man’s body,” said Basil Lanka of Lazer.

At the time the bikers did not know that the man was dead.

“Our officers approached the body and found that the man was semi-naked and badly assaulted,” he added.

Police and paramedics were then called to the scene.

The man, who is yet to be identified, was declared dead on scene.

“The man was found with multiple injuries and he was certified dead by paramedics.

“A murder case was opened. The man must still be identified,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
