FORMER model, Reshica Rugbeer Naicker, is entering the world of beauty pageants again, but this time to raise funds for Cansa­.

Preparations are under way for a glamorous event, Miss Hibiscus, which takes place at the Wild Coast Sun on 9 July at 5.30pm.

Naicker is looking for young women between the ages of 17 and 26 to take part in this competition with a cause.

Naicker, a teacher by profession, said she chose Cansa as the beneficiary as she has had a family member fight the disease.

“Modelling has always been my passion and I would like to teach young women what I know about the modelling world, while supporting a good cause,” she said.

Naicker’s latest titles, which she won in 2013, is the Mrs India South Africa and Mrs India Worldwide, which was held in New Dehli, India.

Entries cost R200 per person and does not only gain contestants entry into the pageant, it includes two days of pampering and workshops.

Spectators can purchase tickets to the event at R120 per person.
