Bike fest weekend next month

PLANS are on point for the inaugural South Coast Bike Festival which is taking place from April 27 to 30.

PR company, Olivia Jones Communications, released a statement saying most of the action is scheduled to take place at the Experiential Energy Zone on the Margate Pier.

Top riders, bikers and skateboarders will fuel the fun with action-packed entertainment for the family.

Thursday April 27 will host the Gravity Action Sports show and a performance by the Shred Betty team, a team of female riders from Durban.

Afrikaans musician, guru Koos Kombuis will put on a performance at the main Carling beach stage from 1pm to 3pm.

Brothers Aden and Wren Hinds known as The Hinds will perform at the Village Rock Pier from 3.30pm til 4.45pm.

On Friday from 10.30am to 11.30am the Gravity Action Sport show will continue and from 4pm to 5pm the Village Pier will be open to BMX bikers and skateboarders

In the evening Prime Circle will perform on the main Carling beach stage.

On Saturday April 29 kwaito star Professor will be revving it up at Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre with bikers, who will be part of the Loxion Motor Show which starts at 12am to 2pm.

On April 30 XRX trials bike show will be taking place at 9am where South African champion Brian Capper will demonstrate his riding abilities at Shelly Centre from 9am. Also in Margate the Powasol EnduroX Series will take place at the Village Pier.
