Book your spot at the South Coast Bike Fest

2017-02-02 06:01

THE first South Coast Bike Festival (SCBF) boasts a line-up of South Africa’s best bands, hottest extreme sports action and will showcase custom bikes and accessories.

In a Ppress release from Wozani Africa, event organiser Vicky Wentzel said SCBF is looking to attract crowds to Margate Beach from 27 to 30 April, making this is an ideal platform for traders.

“This year’s bike festival site has been increased to double the size of previous years so there is ample room for trading, and so much choice for visitors.

“This will be a really useful platform for traders to interact directly with an active buying market. We’re also anticipating a number of visitors coming in from outside provinces who will introduce a whole new customer base to traders.”

There is also availability for food trucks, winemakers as well as craft beer suppliers wanting to participate in the craft beer and craft distillery section.

Wentzel said there will also be 35 leading South African musical acts playing at the ‘#fuelyourfun’ Carling Main Beach Stage as well as the Beach Pier Village Rock Stage. There will be performances from Freshlyground, Prime Circle, Just Jinjer, Matthew Mole, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Gangs of Ballet and more. For heavy metal music lovers, the Energy Stage and Bar features top DJs with refreshments.

Wentzel assured that accommodation will be easy to find and security will be tight.

“We have ensured that those coming from afar will be easily accommodated, as we secured more than 5 000 beds within the festival site, however, beds are filling up quickly, so it would be wise to book early.”

She said a private security company and the SAPS will be monitoring the area.

“The festival site is also strictly a ‘weapons-free zone’.”

She emphasised that spaces are being booked quickly with only six elevated decks, four Pop-up Food Court stands, 20 Village Market stands and limited exhibition decks still available.”

For those attending all four days as visitors, entrance is free, however, no person will have access without completing an online pre-registration, this for security reasons.

“The pre-registration allows #freefunseeker ticket holders access to the event boulevard including secure parking, access to the Main Beachfront Boulevard, Village Pier Rock Stage, Experiential Energy Zone, Mardi Gras Market, Flying Fish Hospitality Deck, Castle Light Pool Party and more.
