BOXER Supermarket officially opened its Gamalakhe outlet on Wednesday. From the early hours of the morning, the excited Gamalakhe community lined up in anticipation of the opening.

Jenny Mazeka, owner of Mazeka Property, which owns the plot on which the outlet was built, said the opening brings a smile on her face.

“Today is a very special day for me and my sisters as owners of the plot where the shopping centre is built. My late mother and father always dreamt of having a shopping centre for the community of Gamalakhe. Today I can happily say their dream has finally come true,” said Mazeka.

A day before the ribbon-cutting, Boxer Supermarket hosted local business owners, Hibiscus Coast Municipality mayor Cllr Nomusa Mqwebu, ward councillors and staff in a introductory lunch with the CEO of Boxer, Eugene Stoop and his team. Guests were warmly welcomed by the new staff who sang about how Boxer aims to give the community the best service.
