A YOUNG man, who brought the lower South Coast together in prayer a month ago, has posted a testimonial on Facebook, thanking everyone for their support and care.

Donovan Stephen was involved in a car accident in Uvongo on January 31 and was rushed to hospital in a serious condition.

According to Kwazulu Private Ambulance spokesperson, Belinda Catchpole, Stephen had stopped breathing and had no pulse. An off-duty medic and firefighter performed CPR and he started breathing again.

Prayers for Stephen and messages of support for his family went viral. Churches and community members rallied to pray for his recovery.

His video on Facebook soon gained likes and shares. Stephen said he could not wait to come back home, but first he has to spend a few nights at Life Entabeni Hospital for more treatment.

He stressed in the video that his recovery was all thanks to his “Saviour, Jesus Christ”.
