THE PhumlaniM Foundation (PMF) held a career guidance day at the Margate Middle School on Friday September 1.

In the team of experts was Dr Thandeka Ngcobo, a 24- year-old medical doctor, an IT technician Musawakhe Khowa, interior designer Syabonga
Sishi, a commercial pilot student Sbonelo Yeni, a pupil support officer Zanele Shabane, Phaphaza Lubanyana a teacher at Bashise Primary, Mongezi Samkile, a member of the PMF the foundation president, Phumlani Mzobe.

The career guidance session targeted Grade 9 pupils because they were at the critical stage of choosing their senior phrase subjects, which would eventually lead to their prospective careers.

“With the pupils being in a low grade, it gives the foundation an advantage of having ample time for guidance and mentorship to ensure pupils make well informed choices academically, socially and financially,” said Mzobe.

“It was a productive day of knowledge embedded in fun. We as the foundation are excited to have made such a positive impact on the lives of young leaders. We are humbled to have contributed to their growth and future prospects.”

He thanked the principal Sivalingam Moodley, HoD Miss Sindy Ntshingo and teachers who participated adding that the foundation had committed to a concurring mentorship programme with the school.
