HOLINESS Union Church Gamalakhe branch (Eswidi) held a conference over the weekend themed “Walking by Faith”.

Pastors from other churches were invited to preach the word of God following the theme, encouraging the attendees of the conference to allow the word of God to restore them individually and in the house of the Lord.

Pastor Makhosi Mchunu said had a revelation that the children of God needed to be reminded of Gods faithfulness and true being. Mchunu said the convention was to motivate and reach out to the unreached by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“The aim was to develop spriritually mature women who will have the capacity to connect with God and the world by displaying the symbol of humanity responsiveness, sensetivity and God fearing women,” said Mchunu.

Mchunu said the message spread across to the women of the church was that faith assures things people hope for which they cannot see.

She quoted Hebrews 11 verse 1.

“Your circumstances may br very bad today but believe that tomorrow the sun will shine again, for we walk by faith and not by sight.”

Guest pastor, Pastor Ngeneme Mhlongo shared words of wisdom with church members and said there is a difference between a church member who has fallen and is lost and a member who is feeble.

“A fallen Christian can be prayed for while a feeble Christian is not easy recognisable as he or she is always in church, but lacks faith,” said Mhlongo.
