ON March 3, the Ramsgate Community Police Forum (RCPF) submitted an application for a special rating area for Ramsgate to the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality.

RCPF chairperson Carla Steenkamp thanks residents who participated in the process.

“A big thank you to the people involved in the application and voting process, the RCPF committee for volunteering their time to get all the votes in and a special thank you to Oliver Ransome and Steve Thomas, as well as the kind and friendly staff of the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality,” said Steenkamp.

She said the move will be to the benefit of every resident and will help in making Ramsgate safe again and bring back the feeling of living in a community that cares for each other.

“Please note that the RCPF functions entirely on donations and without your monthly contribution, we will not be able to build on our successes so please keep up with donations where possible or whatever you think suitable,” said Steenkamp. - Supplied.
