ESAYIDI TVET College, Gamalakhe national certificate vocational, wholesale and retail pupils went to Southcoast Mall on Monday and Tuesday for practical lessons.

The pupils were assigned by teacher and head of business studies Suven Moodley to identify the sub-categories retail stores in Southcoast Mall have and do a survey on how many shops fall into each retail category.

Moodley said this would help pupils to get a better understanding of what they are being taught, as this is part of their curriculum.

“We are happy about the new relationship we have built with Southcoast Mall. Our pupils will visit it regularly as part of our level-two curriculum is that pupils go to malls for practical experience.

“We would like to thank centre management Jayne for welcoming us and being park of developing the youth of the South Coast,” he said.

Southcoast Mall centre manager Jayne Munro said they are part of the community and will make sure that any assistance required by the school is welcomed.

“We are glad to have the pupils of the college and are hoping to see them again soon,’ she said.
