IDWALA Carbonates held a forklift portable skills training programme at the Uthingo Training Centre in Port Shepstone for the KwaNyuswa community last week as part of their social labour plan (SLP).

The project ran from last Monday to Friday and trained pupils from various areas of KwaNyuswa. “As a caring organisation, Idwala engages with inkosi’s from different communities, and various stakeholders before deciding in setting up SLP projects,” said Idwala Carbonates trainer, Joe Mahadeo.

“Management of Idwala Carbonates are proud to assist organisations and individuals as its primary objective is to uplift the standard of living of communities so that people can be given opportunities to lead better lives,” he said.

Idwala funded the project, which required partnering with Uthingo Training Centre, the service provider responsible for the training. - Supplied.
