THE recent pub quiz at Waves to fund-raise for Khanya Hospice was well supported, especially when it came to collecting prizes.

“The evening was well supported and everyone had a great time,” Rob Harding, Waves owner said.

Proceeds from the quiz were given to Khanya Hospice, which doesn’t get government funding and has to rely on the goodwill of people and companies who can and will support hospice.

“Hospice care is free, but it is not free for us to provide. We have to buy whatever we need for patient care,” Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald said.

Anyone wanting to donate to hospice or help with a fund-raising event, can contact hospice on 083 597 8985 or Hospice@scottnet.co.za - Supplied.
