AS part of Human Rights Month South Coast Hospice hosted its “Stepping Out For Patients” fun walk, run and cycle event, which started at Uvongo Pier through to Manaba beach and back, along Lilliecrona Boulevard.

Hospice fund-raiser BT King said over 130 people took part in it.

“Thirty one lucky draw prizes were given away and were received by the winners at finish. We were also blessed to have a husband and wife team of pancake makers in attendance, who sold pancakes to the participants.”

King thanked sponsors, members of the Ya2i team, Powerade, Bobby’s Cycles, Mndeni Meats and John Sheekey Packaging. South Coast Fever was also thanked for its coverage prior to the race.

“Without you we would not be able to have such well attended events,”

“ To the community, well done for your support on the day, you all have helped the team of Hospice to make an impact in the daily lives of our patients living with life- threatening illnesses. May you be blessed for blessing others,” said King.
