CONGRATULATIONS to members who have done so well at the various Agility Championship Shows during the month of May.

They have done the club proud. There are too many winners in so many shows to list them individually.

Special mention must be made of Ninette Smith and her little poodle Swish who were amongst the handlers who represented KwaZulu-Natal at the recent South African Championship in the Cape.

They were up against very tough competition and Swish is still very young but they secured a spot in the team that will represent South Africa in Spain in September.

This will be the first time Ninette will represent the country and we are proud to have another member of Hibiscus Kennel Club do so.

Well done Ninette and Swish we know you will do well after your spectacular hat trick this weekend of three Qualifications

Congratulations to all the May babies at the club, both humans and dogs.

May your year be one of health and joy and many successes. Tea and cake was the order of the day on Saturday for Pat Barnard, Martine Cousins and Jenny Robertson.

Martine and Jenny reached milestones 10 years apart and Pat half way between the two. Jodie Robertson the Border Collie and Minkie the Yorkie were also birthday girls.

It is so rewarding to see new members arriving each week and we hope they will continue to train with the club for many years to come. They will be introduced to Obedience Agility Flyball and Carting classes and we hope they will each find a niche or two.

Anyone wishing to join the club is invited to come along on Saturday from 2.30pm or to phone Jenny on 083 250 4253 or Sharon on 073 601 4622. - Supplied
