SHOOTING is about to start for a film that is locally written and produced.

Ngizenze Mina was written by Lwazi Mbitamkhono and tells the story of a woman who falls in love with guy but is pressured by her friends to leave him for a wealthy married guy.

She ends up regretting her decision after experiencing hardships and the man she broke up with moves up in life and marries someone else.

Producer and director, Msa Mbitamkhono said the film is self-funded and stars local actors.

He said they also wanted to show how people live on the South Coast.

“There have been films that have been shot here but they always show poverty and mud houses. With this film we want to show how other people live,” said Mbitamkhono.

Shooting will be from July 2 to 5.

Mbitamkhono thanked Fatima Sarigat of SmartXchange for providing offices they are working from.

Those between the ages of 18 and 45, who are interested in being an extra, can call Mbitamkhono on 073 868 3690.

Extras will not be paid.
