ONE person was injured in an accident involving an Audi and a bakkie in Gamalakhe this weekend.

An eyewitness said the driver of the Audi allegedly drove into the bakkie at an intersection near Esayidi TVET Gamalakhe campus.

“The bakkie was coming from the college when the Audi appeared on the top of the hill and smashed into the white bakkie hitting its side,” said Gamalakhe TVET student Daniel Lushaba.

The driver injured his arm and was taken to the Gamalakhe Community Health Centre by his mother.

Margate SAPS spokesperson Captain Gerald Mfeka said no case was opened at the Gamalakhe Police Station regarding the accident.
