WORKERS who use Berg Road in Marburg have raised concerns over potholes and the continuous running water on it saying it could cause “serious damage” if motorists are unfamiliar with the road.

Patsy Govender, who works in the area, said she watches water running down the road every day.

“Some of the road has broken away creating deep ditches on both sides of the road.

“It’s a filthy road with waste from the factories just thrown on the side of the road,” said Govender.

Ray Nkonyeni Municipality spokesperson Simon April said the issue has been brought to the attention of the Road and Storm Water and Waste Management sections.

“It is, however, encouraged that whoever is having a service delivery related query should use our effective customer care system by forwarding the query or complaint to services@rnm.gov.za or by calling 039 688 2027 or send the SMS to 32061 (R1 per SMS),” said April.
