ONE person died and another sustained serious injuries in Gclimia near Margate on Tuesday night after being hit by a car.

Netcare 911 paramedics treated the pedestrian.

“Paramedics found that two people had been hit by a vehicle. The woman died at the scene, while the man sustained serious injuries,” said Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha.

Paramedics stabilised the man at the scene before he was transported to hospital under the care of an advanced life support paramedic.

On Monday afternoon, Netcare 911 paramedics treated a man, in his thirties, after his car rolled several times along the R61 in Port Edward.

“After examining the driver, paramedics established that the man sustained serious injuries. Medics treated the patient at the scene before they transported him to a hospital in Margate,” said Botha. - Supplied.
