THE One Way Youth Outreach’s mission this past festive season to create memorable moments and a lasting impact was very successful.

From Monday, 21 December 2015, until Thursday 24 December 2015, Father Christmas arrived on a fire engine creating excitement for the children of KwaNzimakwe, Gamalakhe, Merlewood and Sunwich Port.

Assisted by his group of young volunteers, he handed out gifts to the less fortunate and brought smiles to many.

Coming from impoverished and disadvantaged areas, they experienced the joy and excitement of Christmas. Local businesses were proud to be involved with this annual community project as they are always encouraged by the many family members and friends that share this rewarding opportunity.

Supporting initiatives of this nature is also important to show locals and holidaymakers that the people of the South Coast care about making a difference in their community.

Thanks must be extended to those who contributed to this community project including South Coast Tourism, Margate and Port Edward Build it, Coca-Cola Fortune, Wimpy Margate Beach, Tiago’s, South Coast Fever, One Way Youth Outreach, HCM Youth Office and HCM Fire Rescue and Distaster. - Supplied.
