Opposition leader, youths take to the streets

DA KZN leader, Zwakele Mncwango, Ugu South constituency head, Rishigen Viranna, MPL and constituency chair, Cllr Samkelo Ndwalane, walked the streets of Hibberdene on Friday campaigning for votes ahead of next month’s elections.

The leaders were joined by DA youths who assisted in handing out pamphlets to the people.

The walk-about started at Hibberdene Mall and through to the taxi rank where they encouraged people to vote for DA candidate councillor, Noah Cele.

Mncwango said the DA wants to improve in the lives of people, adding that the DA will bring employment opportunities, stop corruption and deliver better services for all.

“There is a big housing backlog in this area, with many local housing projects cancelled or delayed without proper explanation. Unemployment, especially in rural areas, is rife in this region,” he said

‘The people of Ugu South need to vote for change that

will better their lives.”

After walking around Hibberdene the leaders and youths made their way to Masinenge.
