Police arrest men with 27 bags of dagga

A VEHICLE travelling from Harding to Durban was stopped by Port Shepstone police members on Thursday night.

Members from Port Shepstone K9 Unit, the Port Shepstone 10111 Call Centre Response Unit and Warrant Officer Stompie Sonnekus from Organised Crime Unit, were on duty on the N2 near the Marburg on-ramp.

“They stopped a vehicle, which was en-route from Harding to Durban and 27 bags of dagga were found in the vehicle,” said police spokesperson­ Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

“The two occupants were arrested and detained for dealing in drugs and will appear in court soon,” she added. - Supplied.
