A 30-YEAR-OLD mother was asleep with her two young children when two men kicked open the door of her home in Ndwebu Ward, Umzumbe, in December 2014.

They threatened her with a knife and raped her.

The suspects then robbed her of money and two cellphones before fleeing.

One of them was allegedly attacked and killed by the community while the other left the area to evade arrest.

The Highflats SAPS registered a case of rape for investigation and investigators began their search for the two suspects.

Captain Devika Pillay of the Port Shepstone Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit (FCS) secured a warrant for the arrest of Siyanda Duncan Msomi (33).

Pillay appeals to anyone who knows the whereabouts of Msomi to contact her on 039 974 6552/3 or 039 688 7900.

They can also contact their nearest police station or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

Msomi is believed to be in the Durban area. - Supplied.
