THE Port Shepstone Lions recently donated R30 000 to YouthworX, a community centre in Port Shepstone.

Members of YouthworX were present at the meeting and accepted the donation, which will be used for the building of its new sports centre, which will be where children and youth can “play, learn and connect” with others.

The Christian community centre on the South Coast is a thriving hub that encourages socialising and creativity in a safe environment.

YouthworX guides and mentors the youth from a Christian perspective through their youth and cell groups, but is non-denominational and welcomes young people from all walks of life.

The YouthworX building was donated by a local family, and being an NPO, it relies greatly on support from businesses and donations from the community of Port Shepstone.
