PUMPHOUSE, a bar and restaurant in Margate, was booming with excitement on Saturday with families and friends cooking up a storm of potjies to raise funds for the SPCA Lower South Coast.

More than R9 000 was raised through the sale of meals and drinks outside the Pumphouse.

Micheal Muller of SPCA said the fund-raiser went well and they are grateful to everyone, including stakeholders, who made the event a success.

“It is great that the community gets together in such initiatives to assist the organisation,” said Muller.

The funds raised will assist SPCA with developments as they are growing at about 30%, but said the SPCA still requires R8 000 to assist them to get through the year.
