SOUTH Coast Hospice received linen for its in-patient unit from two business houses in Gauteng - Suzuki and Chrysalis Linen.

They were part of a Suzuki challenge where the sales manager Brendon Carpenter was tasked to test drive a Suzuki 750 bakkie, that is about to be launched, load its 750kg capacity to the limit, and drive it for 750km on only R750 worth of fuel.

Carpenter chose Hospice as the beneficiary of the challenge in which the two companies pledged two dishwashers and 14 buckets of paint.

Carpenter sourced a beneficiary on the internet and chose Hospice as the deserving beneficiary.

Hospice fund-raiser BT King said they were fortunate to be chosen as the beneficiary and thanked Suzuki and Chrysalis Linen for the donation.

“We really appreciate the donation and would like to thank Brendon for taking up the challenge,” said King.
