RAY Nkonyeni Municipality has appointed a new HOD for community services.

As the new head Mthandeni Bright Ndwalane, who previously worked at the Izinqoleni and Ugu District municipalities, will oversee “sections such as information technology, human resources, registry and auxiliary services, legal services and fleet management” the municipality said on Tuesday.

RNM Mayor Cllr Nomusa Mqwebu said the correct processes had been followed in the appointment of Ndwalane.

“There was no cadre deployment in this appointment,” said Mqwebu, adding that council and the MEC were pleased with the appointment.

Ndwalane said he was happy to be part of the RNM team.

“The appointment came at the right time. I am ready and right. I will be focusing on implementation from the first day,” said Ndwalane.
