THREE men, wanted for house break-ins, were arrested at Port Shepstone taxi rank on Friday morning.

“Information was received about three suspicious men at the Port Shepstone taxi rank who were carrying bags,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

Members from the Port Shepstone 10111 Call Centre response unit and K9 Unit responded and apprehended the trio in a hair salon, having a haircut.

It was then established that the three were in possession of items they had stolen from a house in Park Rynie at 3.15am that morning. They also had the knives, which they had stabbed the complainant with, in their possession.

The men aged 19, 29 and 40, allegedly entered the house in Park Rynie and threatened the female residents. One of the women, aged 24, was stabbed multiple times and taken to GJ Crookes Hospital.

The three will face charges of house robbery and possession of stolen property.

The arresting officers were Warrant Officer Riaan Joubert, Constable Rishen Dhaniram and Constable Mthembeni Ndlovu from the 10111 Centre Response Unit. - Supplied.
