PORT Shepstone SAPS detectives are looking for two men who may have information regarding a case of theft.

Four unknown men broke into a parked vehicle at a shopping centre near Oribi Plaza on 23 December, 2015 and stole a bag containing a large amount of cash.

They allegedly sped off in a silver Polo with a Durban registration plate.

Investigations reveal that four men followed the complainant from the bank to the store. They then broke into the complainant’s car.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Constable Rouen Govender at Port Shepstone Detective Service on 039 688 1093 or 076 465 5552.

“The public is asked to be constantly aware of suspicious people when conducting banking transactions. Avoid carrying money bags, briefcases or displaying your deposit receipt book,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

“Consider electronic transfers and alternate the days on which you do deposit or withdraw cash. Never make your bank visits public, even to people who may be close to you. Never leave large amounts of cash or valuables in your vehicle, unattended. Refrain from driving to the bank in your company branded vehicle on a typical pay day,” she added.
